November 2, 2014 Day Seven: Sunday - Remembering Wholeness at Geneva: closing words

November 2, 2014 Sunday Morning, Geneva Retreat

Title: Closing Comments and Sitting with the Mother, Geneva Retreat

Barbara: It's been an amazing week for me, and I hope it has for you. It's been such a joy to share this whole experience with you: vipassana, the Mother, the various people leading different parts of our program, the beautiful lake. I hope some of you saw the sunset last night, it was glorious.

We would welcome your suggestions. You know this was a first time. It was good. Of course it can always be better. So write to us and let us know what was good for you and what could have made it better for you.

Q: I will have the evaluation forms out...Please add any extra comments that relate to this kind of retreat, that are not asked on the form.

Barbara: And let us know, would you like to see something like this again? Is this a one-time thing or is it something that we should repeat?

I invite in the archangels: Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Ariel. Some of you may not know this but Ariel is Aaron's direct teacher. So there's a strong lineage there from Ariel through Aaron, through us. I ask these guardian angels to hold their presence in the four directions, to ensure our safety, and hold this circle with love.

We offer thanks to all those guides, power animals, guardian angels, loving entities of every sort who have supported us through this week. And we know you will come home with us, each to our own home, feeling your presence and your love.

We consecrate our energy to the light, to the spreading of light throughout the universe, that all beings everywhere may be free of suffering, be happy, and have peace. In the words of the metta sutra:

Wishing in gladness and in safety, may all beings be at ease.

Whatever living beings there may be;

Whether they are weak or strong, omitting none,

The great or the mighty, medium, short or small,

The seen and the unseen,

Those living near and far away,

Those born and to-be-born,

May all beings be at ease.

Let none deceive another, or despise any being in any state.

Let none, through anger or ill will, wish harm upon another.

Even as a mother protects with her life Her child, her only child,

So with a boundless heart, should one cherish all living beings;

Radiating kindness over the entire world;

Spreading upward to the skies, And downwards to the depths;

Outward and unbounded, Freed from hatred and ill-will.

With spirit's support, we can live this sutra, to despise no being, to be the mother holding our hearts open to all beings, and knowing that all beings are our children, and we are our own children, cherishing ourselves also.

I as Barbara thank all of you for being here, and for the deep work you are doing now and continue to do to bring this kind of love to the earth.

The Mother will incorporate. I consecrate this body to the Light.

(The Mother incorporates)

The Mother: And I would thank you all. I cherish you, each and every one of you. This is our last time together this week, but of course I go with you, each to your own homes. You cannot lose the Mother so easily; the Mother holds onto you because you are dear in every way.
